New version of Malwarebytes continually says “Databases Out of Date”

We have seen the new version kind of Malwarebytes to be a little finicky when it comes to updates (continually says “Databases Out of Date”)  Upgrading to the newest version, and updating the database may only provide a temporary fix, and then the next day you get the same  message again: “Databases Out of Date”:




We have found that applying the following settings (Fix 1), appears to fix the problem most of the time (under “Automated Scheduling”)  Fix #2 is from Malwarebytes Tech Support.


Fix 1 (Simplest):



Fix 2 (from Malwarebytes):


•Download and run mbam-clean.exe from here:   http://www.malwarebytes.org/mbam-clean.exe 


•It will ask to restart your computer, please allow it to do so very important


•After the computer restarts, temporarily disable your Anti-Virus and install the latest version of Malwarebytes’ Anti-Malware from here:




•Note: You will need to reactivate the program using the license you were sent via email if using the Pro version


•Launch the program and set the Protection and Registration. Then go to the UPDATE tab if not done during installation and check for updates.


Restart the computer again and verify that MBAM is in the task tray if using the Pro version. Now setup any file exclusions as may be required in your Anti-Virus/Internet-Security/Firewall applications and restart your Anti-Virus/Internet-Security applications.


NOTE: If that does not correct the issue, then please read the following post to create the  Diagnostic Logs (we have never had to do this yet):
